Large, busy UHNW household of six is looking for an experienced Private Chef to work as part of a large household team. The Chef will work hand-in-hand with the Butler to ensure the family and their guests receive superior service at all times. The family requires the Chef to travel internationally and domestically to their other residences as well as on vacations. Family enjoys Keto, vegetarian and gluten-free meals.
Family is relocating from Europe to Pacific Palisades in beginning of April and looking to conduct initial interviews via zoom for a start date of training mid-March.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Shopping and procuring high-quality organic ingredients
Prepare high-end restaurant quality lunches and dinners
Maintain detailed and organized meal planners, recipes and favorites for family to select from
Manage daily inventory of all pantry and perishable items
Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness at all times
Perform formal service when Butler not available
Must be able to prepare child-friendly meals
Prepare pet food
This is a full-time position:
Flexible days off
5/7 ratio and hours based on family’s needs
$120 – $150 annually
2 weeks paid time off
Requirements:
Ability to set a proper table
Extensive repertoire of international and European cooking styles
Maintain composure in the event of last-minute changes
Excellent references required from current and previous employers
Minimum 5 years related work experience in a private home or estate
