A busy single mother in Westlake Village is seeking a dependable, warm, and highly organized Part-Time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, comfortable, and well-run home. The family has three school-aged children, ages 6, 9, and 11, and two Golden Retrievers.
The ideal candidate is an experienced housekeeper who genuinely enjoys being around children and dogs and is comfortable transitioning between housekeeping responsibilities and providing afternoon support to the family. This is a hands-on position for someone proactive who notices what needs to be done and enjoys helping a busy household run smoothly.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Full-charge housekeeping and general household upkeep
Maintain a consistently clean, organized, and tidy home
Household laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothing and linens
General household organization and keeping common areas reset
Prepare and organize children’s after-school snacks
Assist with homework and after-school routines
Help keep the children organized for school and activities
Prepare or assist with simple, healthy family dinners
Kitchen clean-up and resetting after meals
Maintain household supplies and notify Principal when items need replenishing
Light pet care and assistance with the family’s two Golden Retrievers
Provide an extra set of hands wherever needed to help the household run smoothly
Schedule:
Monday–Friday: 1:00 PM–7:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM–3:00 PM
Approximately 37 hours per week
$40 hourly
Requirements:
Minimum 3+ years of professional housekeeping experience in a private residence
Comfortable assisting with school-aged children
Warm, patient, responsible, and family-oriented
Must genuinely enjoy dogs and be comfortable around large breeds
Strong housekeeping, laundry, and organizational skills
Comfortable preparing simple family meals and children’s snacks
Proactive with a “no job too small” attitude
Excellent communication and time-management skills
