A private estate in Encino is seeking an experienced, highly organized Part-Time Housekeeper/Cook to help maintain a five-star, resort-level home for two adults and their two small dogs. A professional cleaning team services the residence three times per week; this role is focused on maintaining impeccable standards between visits, preparing fresh meals, managing laundry and wardrobe care, and providing attentive pet care.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, discreet, and takes pride in anticipating household needs. A positive “no task is too small” attitude and a genuine love of dogs are essential.
Responsibilities include:
Maintain the residence to luxury-hotel standards, including daily tidying, organization, kitchen and bathroom upkeep, and resetting common areas
Keep bathrooms fully stocked, uncluttered, spotless, and guest-ready at all times
Monitor pool, patio, balcony, and outdoor areas daily; straighten furniture, manage towels and trash, remove debris, and report maintenance needs
Maintain exterior glass and high-visibility surfaces free of fingerprints, water spots, dust, and debris
Manage household laundry, ironing, steaming, and wardrobe organization
Maintain the Principal’s closet, ensuring clothing, shoes, accessories, drawers, and shelves remain beautifully organized
Coordinate and track dry cleaning, tailoring, alterations, repairs, specialty cleaning, and shoe care.
Assist with wardrobe preparation and packing for travel and special events
Shop for high-quality groceries, household staples, beverages, and fresh ingredients while proactively maintaining inventory.
Prepare fresh, healthy, high-protein breakfasts, lunches, snacks, and smoothies based on the Principals’ preferences. This is straightforward, health-conscious cooking rather than formal or restaurant-style cuisine.
Maintain an immaculate, organized kitchen and refrigerator, including rotating perishables and monitoring freshness.
Organize household receipts and purchases through the designated household management system
Prepare guest accommodations prior to visitors, ensuring rooms are polished, comfortable, and fully guest-ready
Keep household vehicles clean, fueled or charged, and ready for use
Provide daily care and companionship for two small dogs, including feeding, playtime, monitoring supplies, maintaining clean pet areas, and picking up after them
Communicate any changes in the dogs’ behavior or care needs.
Provide evening dog care on 31 designated evenings from 5:00–8:30 p.m.
