Jr. Properties Technology Systems Administrator
(Los Angeles, CA)

We are looking for a self-starter that is inherently self-motivated and can proactively manage tech aspects for global residential and commercial properties for an UHNW client in Los Angeles.  This position will Report to the Senior Properties Technology Systems Administrator for task management & Senior Properties Technology Manager for high level project goals and professional development.  The position requires on-site work in conjunction with approximately 35% global travel.  The candidate’s primary residence and work location should be within a reasonable driving distance to the Los Angeles metro area.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
  • Help maintain, improve, and secure our properties technical systems
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to build streamlined solutions
  • Implement new technology software and hardware at times with the support of trusted vendors
  • Maintain documentation
  • Provide training
  • Assist in the development of a unified global properties tech strategy
  • Programming and Configuration of the following but not exclusive to (when/where appropriate):
  • Security Alarm: Elk, DSC (w/Alarm.com), Texecom, etc.
  • Access Control: Salto, 2N, & related 3rd party electronic door hardware
  • Surveillance Systems: Avigilon, 2N, etc.
  • Control Automation/BMS Systems: Crestron, Savant, CoolMaster, etc.
  • Lighting, Shading Automation Systems: Lutron Homeworks QS/QSX, Caseta, Athena, Somfy, etc.
  • Audio & Video Systems: Samsung TVs/Screen Walls (Micro LED), Apple TVs, Apple Home Control iPads, Sonos, Devialet, Crown, Dante, etc.
  • Power Management and Battery Backup: OvrC, Domotz, WattBox, SugeX, Panamax, CyberPower, APC, Eaton, Savant, etc.
  • Networks: Meraki, Ubiquiti, etc. (with IT team/vendor support for more technical projects)
  • Understand, use, and monitor all technical systems
  • Identify and implement preventative maintenance programs that minimize equipment failures and downtimes
  • Possible first responder to site emergencies like extended power failures or tech hardware failures/glitches which render critical house systems nonfunctional
  • Ensure rack rooms are kept to a high standard
  • Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual tech maintenance checklists
  • Maintain accurate records of properties tech systems
  • Maintain accurate calendar entries for all staff, maintenance and vendor events on properties
  • Working experience in custom residential homes and class A commercial general construction environments
  • Comfortable around physical, residential, and cyber security platforms
  • Vendor Management/Supervision of tech related projects or where there is limited knowledge/ability to manage internally
  • Regional knowledge of Los Angeles as it relates to technical aspects of your job
  • Must be ok with sitting at a desk vs. working out of office
This is a Full-Time Position:
  • $110K Annually

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience programming lighting control, automation systems, and networks
  • Tech savvy and fluent in MacOS, Windows, Google Suite / Calendar / Drive / Sheets/ Docs, Asana and mobile technologies
  • Trustworthy and discreet
  • Professional and personable with excellent people/verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus but not required)
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
  • A clear understanding of industry anonymity and how to implement discretion in all settings
  • A motivated self-starter with a “no task is too big or small” attitude and can own their workload from the start
