Our client is seeking a Jr. Houseman to undertake upkeep and repair tasks on the interior or exterior of their estate. We are seeking someone who wants to learn and work with a team of people in a large, staffed home. Estate Manager and Lead Gardener will train in all necessary areas.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
Report directly to Head Gardener
Clean exterior and interior by sweeping, dusting, etc.
Perform maintenance and light repairs
Walk the exterior of estate
Remove all cobwebs
Power wash exterior walkways and driveways as needed
Change pool filters, HVAC filters, etc. (will train)
Identify and report the need for major repairs
Run errands
Assist Housekeepers as needed (move furniture, go on ladder to clean and replace bulbs on light fixtures, clean windows, etc.)
Keep supply inventory list updated and submit to Estate Manager for approval
This is a full-time position:
Monday – Friday
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
$35-40 hourly
Eligible for overtime
Paid holidays and vacations
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as handyman with at least 1 year of experience
Must speak Spanish fluently with the ability to effectively communicate in English as well
Well-organized and skilled in problem-solving
Attention to detail
Excellent and verifiable past work references
Must hold a valid driver’s license with clean driving record as well as work authorization
