A private adult household with one older, calm Labradoodle is seeking an exceptional, experienced Full-Time Housekeeper to oversee the care and upkeep of two beautiful residences in Westlake Village and Malibu.
The Principals travel extensively and may be away for periods of up to six weeks at a time. The ideal candidate will be highly trustworthy, self-directed, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of the residences while the Principals are away. Travel periods provide an excellent opportunity to complete deep cleaning, organization, and special household projects.
Someone willing to care for the Labradoodle in their own home while the Principals travel would be an added bonus but is not required.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
Maintain immaculate cleanliness across both properties
Deep clean kitchens, bathrooms, and interior and exterior living areas
Manage rotating schedule to split time effectively between both residences based on occupancy and needs
Perform floor care including vacuuming rugs, mopping hardwood, and treating specialized stone or tile surfaces
Execute laundry services including washing, drying, ironing, and neatly organizing clothing and delicate linens
Manage household inventory by tracking cleaning supplies, pantry staples, and toiletries, restocking them as needed
Run occasional errands and grocery purchases, upon request
Oversee home security by ensuring windows and doors are locked and alarm systems are properly armed
Report maintenance issues immediately, such as appliance malfunctions, plumbing leaks, or property
Prepare for events by deep cleaning the entertaining spaces, polishing silverware, and washing glassware ahead of gatherings
Assist with setting up for gatherings at the home by setting tables, linens, and/or anything needed for the event to run smoothly
Provide guest hospitality by greeting attendees, managing coats, and directing visitors around the property
Support food & beverage service by assisting with staging, refilling platters, or coordinating with outside caterers
Execute post-event cleanup to rapidly return the home to pristine, organized condition immediately following an event
A PLUS – if candidate is able to assist with cooking or preparing a meal on occasion
Provide daily pet care including feeding, refreshing water bowls, and administering scheduled medications or supplements, and scheduling groomer
Walk the dog to ensure he maintains his regular energy outlets and bathroom schedules
Maintain pet spaces by cleaning crates, washing pet bedding, and tidying up any backyard or indoor pet messes
A PLUS – if candidate is willing to provide overnight sitting when the homeowners travel (can stay in principal residence or take home)
Schedule & Compensation:
Full-Time Employment
Monday – Friday
Generally 4 days per week in Westlake Village and 1 day per week in Malibu
Approximately 8:30 AM – 3:30/4:00 PM
Guaranteed 40 hours of pay per week
$40–$45 per hour, DOE

Requirements:
Extensive professional housekeeping experience in high-end private residences
Strong knowledge of deep cleaning and the proper care of fine furnishings and finishes
Excellent laundry, ironing, and linen-care skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Trustworthy and comfortable managing household responsibilities during extended periods when the Principals are traveling
