Busy family of 4 (children aged 8 and 12) seeking an educated, health conscious, and mindful Family Assistant/Nanny to assist and support mom with a multiple of responsibilities.  Pets include 2 dogs and a rabbit.  Dad will be traveling extensively for work, and mom needs a second pair of hands.  Children are home schooled and attend enrichment classes.

Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Involvement in school homework and making sure all assignments are completed and on time

• Management of school curriculum

• Provide a consistent, calm, and emotionally grounded presence in the girls’ daily lives

• Oversee the structure and flow of homeschooling, including:

• Supporting curriculum implementation between enrichment programs

• Reinforcing and expanding learning based on each child’s interests (music, art, building, sports, creative play, etc.)

• Creating a focused, organized environment for learning at home

• Assist in driving to/from activities including school

• Assist with all routines and scheduling

• Prepare for the next day – backpacks, appointments, errands

• Keeping a schedule both for the children and the house

• Maintain a digital calendar (Hearth)

• Assist in shopping, inventory, stocking, lists of items running low (online or in person)

• Cook and serve meals that have been pre-prepared

• Handle kitchen resets and maintain cleanliness after meals

• Assist with light food organization and kitchen upkeep as needed

• Light cleaning (part-time housekeeper employed for deep cleaning)

• Errands

• House sitting and full coverage when the family is away

• Daily feeding and general care of pets

• Coordinate and manage vet visits and grooming while house sitting

• Monitor and manage animal-related supplies as needed

This is a live-out position:

• Monday – Friday

• 30-40-hour work week

• May be asked to switch one weekday for one weekend day as needed

• Travel both domestically and internationally as needed

• Summer travel can be for up to 3 weeks

• Guest house available on property

• $40+ hourly DOE

Qualifications:

• BA Degree or similar degree

• Drivers license in good standing

• Tech-savvy with all current platforms

• Ability to oversee with homework and encourage research to solve problems

• Must be able to pass a thorough background check

• Must be able to travel internationally for up to 3 weeks

• Be able to legally work in the U.S

• Live within a reasonable distance of Malibu Canyon (or utilize guest house)
