Executive Housekeeper (Hollywood Hills, CA)

A family of 6 is seeking a flexible, meticulous Housekeeper to care for their second home in Hollywood Hills.
This is a full-time position even when the family is not in residence (approximately six scattered months throughout the year).  The home must be kept clean to a high standard and always prepared for guests and  family members returning home at any time. Additional housekeeping staff will be engaged for busy periods and when the family is all in residence, therefore they require someone who can work independently and is equally comfortable as part of a team. When the family is in residence, the Estate Manager will also be present, and the Housekeeper will report to her and remotely outside of these times.
 Duties to include, but not limited to:
  • Full charge housekeeping
  • Responsible for maintaining all outside areas and dining spaces 
  • Knowledge of green products
  • Experience with the cleaning and maintenance of high-end fabrics, finishes, surfaces and furniture 
  • Laundry for the household (clothing, linens, ironing) with an understanding of different fabrics and specialized laundering 
  • Bed linens washed and pressed in-house, rotated frequently. If there are multiple guests, then assistance will be provided
  • Maintain lists of provisions that need to be replenished (non-perishable) 
  • Prepare for owner’s arrival making sure that all perishable items are purchased and in stock
  • Take on the responsibility of reaching out to contractors and/or vendors for small repairs (list of vendors already in place)
  • Consult with the Estate Manager for larger items that need attention
  • Work with the Gardeners and communicate with the Estate Manager as needed for all outside maintenance
  • Work well with the on-site Security team
  • Assist the Chef as needed when Employer or guests are in residence
 This is a full-time position:
  • Monday – Friday
  • 9am – 5pm
  • When family is in residence, must have flexibility to work earlier or later shift, morning meetings and/or evening entertaining
  • May be asked to work weekends when required with advance notice
  • $40+ hourly DOE

 Requirements
  • Three story large residence requires stamina and physical movement
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented 
  • Flexible attitude and approach to work to be able to adapt to changing needs and schedules within a busy household
  • Must have experience working for UHNW individuals
  • Must be comfortable working independently while reporting to the Estate Manager
  • Pass a thorough background check
  • Possess a valid clean driving license and a reliable and insured automobile
  • Strong command of the English language both verbal and written
  • Comfortable communicating via text and email
  • Ability to always maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion, able to read the room and know when to enter/leave
