Estate Manager (Bel Air, CA)

Estate Manager needed for large Estate in Bel Air (17K sq ft on 10 acres) This is a second residence which Employers visit often.  Must be kept in pristine condition with all systems maintained 52 weeks a year.  Mostly an informal environment with high standards.  You are efficient, trustworthy, professional with the highest standards of ethical conduct
Responsibilities: (not limited to):
  • Manage staff and daily operations
  • Manage various projects
  • Implement systems to efficiently manage Employer’s schedules
  • Supervise and orchestrate event planning, travel coordination, and other aspects of Employer’s social calendar as required
  • Manage household construction, renovation, and maintenance projects
  • Manage and oversee all employees at the residence (approximately 10 – possibly more when owner in residence)
  • Manage all necessary vendors/contractors
  • Daily walk through of residence interior and exterior, report any necessary items that need immediate attention
  • Lead a team and implement weekly/bi-weekly meetings with the staff
  • Oversee and maintain all systems (interior and exterior) call in vendors as necessary
  • Be comfortable and have experience in covering both front and back of house
  • Interface with both family office, yacht personnel, CEO, President, etc.
  • Responsible for purchases and/or contractors/vendors to complete necessary projects – will have a credit card. Approval from Employer or representative will require approval for large amounts
  • Event planning, usually 1-2 times annually
This is a full-Time Position:

Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role in a large estate with numerous employees
  • Must have familiarity with Los Angeles and have a vendors list
  • Must pass a thorough background report including credit
  • Superior knowledge of all systems interior and exterior, facilities maintenance a huge plus, being able to explain the problem to a contractor and/or fix it yourself depending on the scope of the work
  • Personality can switch between casual dress (nitty/gritty maintenance) to formal dress accordingly
  • Nonsmoking environment
  • This is not a remote position, you will be required to work from a gorgeous office with city to ocean views
  • Be up to date with all technology
  • Ability to review and negotiate contracts to present to the Employers and/or their family office representatives
