Looking for a combination of a Groundsman/Houseman/Landscape person to assist in a large private home. Responsible for maintaining an aesthetically pleasing and functional outdoor space. No job too big/too small attitude. The ideal person will have good observations skills, a positive and helpful demeanor and extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and processes. Looking for someone 3 days per week (one of the days must be a weekend day) The Groundsman will communicate any outdoor needs or concerns regarding the exterior portion of the home to the Estate Manager.
Duties:
Trim trees and shrubs to maintain appearance
Cover/Uncover and clean outdoor furniture
Clean/hose/blow all debris and cobwebs
Clean and refill bird bath
Power wash tennis court
Put away and clean all sports equipment as needed
Cover/uncover pool
Skim pool on days where pool service is not on site
Pump pool if/when needed
Clear driveway on days gardeners are not on site
Clean 1st floor exterior windows and doors
Lantern cleaning/bulb replacement on all lighting and outdoor fixtures
Vehicle cleaning/maintenance/gas fill up
Upper-level yard cleaning
Clean bunny cage
Sort trash/recyclables
Light handyman repairs throughout the home
Assist with party set up and break down
Touch up paint as needed
Grill upkeep
Outdoor appliance checks and repairs
Second floor patio cleaning
Shed organization and upkeep
Requirements:
Seeking a part time position
Be able to pass a thorough background investigation
Have a driver’s license in good standing
Have reliable transportation with insurance
Have a minimum of 3-5 years related experience in a private home, hotel, resort or club setting
Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds
Able to climb ladders
Schedule:
Three days per week (one of which will be a weekend day)
