Seeking a skilled and experienced Head Server and Housekeeper to assist a wonderful family with the daily operations of the household. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and hospitality, be calm efficient and takes initiative. Adult home, one dog. Most staff members working at this property have been there a long time and there is hardly any turnover.
Duties:
All aspects of service including formal and informal
Maintenance of silverware, glassware, tableware, China and linens
Daily/weekly AV system and equipment checks
Collaborate with House Manager and other household staff members (chefs, housekeepers, gardeners and other support staff)
Work closely with the housekeeping team assisting in housekeeping tasks
Assist in overseeing inventory including ordering and stocking
Involved in setup and execution of events held at the house
Work well with other team members to ensure that the Estate is always clean, tidy and everything is in good working order
Requirements:
Must live in the Los Angeles area
Experience in high-end service. Wine knowledge and cocktail skills are a plus
Strong command of the English language and excellent communication skills
Previous experience in a similar role for high-profile clients and proven longevity
Tech savvy with knowledge of AV equipment, Apple TV and Crestron systems
Ability to work independently and under instruction of the house manager
Demonstrates enthusiasm, dedication to responsibilities and a positive demeanor
Professional, discreet and well presented
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed
Degree in hospitality management is preferred, not required
Certificate in butler service, wine service preferred, not required
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, navigate stairs and uneven terrain
