Household Manager (SW Denver, CO)

Seeking a “no task too big/small attitude”.  Please have experience working in a private home environment.  Household Manager will provide leadership and oversight for the household team while working alongside them.  Taking direction from the Principal and Director of Family Services.  Oversee key services (housekeeping, laundry and wardrobe management, shopping, household inventory control, errand running, floral arrangements, gift management and personal and corporate event) support.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, dependable and a consummate team player, creative, conscientious problem solver, discreet, can work independently and as a team member.  ONLY Local candidates will be considered for this position.
Duties to include, but are not limited to:
  • Coordination of household team, planning for and implementing organizational home projects
  • Ensure smooth delivery of daily services as expected by Family.
  • Participating in light housekeeping/general tidying, holiday decorating, may be asked for brief transitional child care coverage
  • Oversee third party contractors/vendors
  • Provide daily updates to the Principal each morning
  • Coordinate with admin counterparts in the management of a dynamic calendar of professional and personal engagement for the Principal
  • Provide the Principal with seamless communication and planning for personal, property and household needs
  • Supervise the household team including housekeeping staff, family assistant, child caregivers, seasonal staff and other various Vendors.  Be willing to cover for these positions if a team member is absent
  • Assist with planning, set up, organization of seamless orchestration of small to large scale events hosted at Family properties, corporate facilities and elsewhere as requested
  • Oversee household inventory checklists for supplies (cleaning supplies, household items, food, wind, etc.)
  • When necessary, coordinate with outsourced vendors for special cleanings
  • Oversea interior and exteriors for Christmas and other holidays
  • Maintain and update “look books” for future reference
  • Prepare Family properties for overnight guests
This is a Full-Time Position:
  • General schedule Monday – Friday 8:30 am – 6:00 pm (however flexibility is key)
  • Be open to work a non-traditional schedule as required
  • May be asked to travel ahead of family to other properties and be prepared to stay while they are there.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree preferred and a minimum of five years of experience working in a similar role for a private family
  • Adept in all areas of personal service, residential property and home management, hospitality and property oversight
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining a private employer’s confidentiality, safety, security and privacy
  • Superb written and oral communication skills, a gift for distilling information into concise verbal and written formats
  • Valid U.S. Passport required, willing and able to support the Family at their local, regional and out-of-state properties
  • Familiarity with Spanish language is a plus
  • Must be computer savvy with proficiency in Mac and PC operating systems, including Office, Chrome and Safari. 
  • Proficient in ordering online products (groceries, household products, etc.)
  • Must pass a thorough in-depth background clearance
  • Must possess a driver’s license in good standing
