House Manager/Assistant (Pacific Palisades, CA)

A very busy professional mother is seeking an experienced, skillful, organized, self-motivated House Manager/Assistant to provide helpful support to her and her family as well the day-to-day operations of their Pacific Palisades Household. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of personal assisting tasks, as well as some aspects of the management of the Palisades home and property and will report directly to and work closely with the owners and the Estate Manager.
Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Work daily to ensure the needs of the Principal are met along with the management of the home/property
  • Correspondence, mail processing, calls, appointments, shopping, calendaring, property events
  • Maintain communications with the out-of-state administrative office
  • Maintain house records, files, operational information, plans archival materials, house checkbook, petty cash, and processes mail and invoices for the property
  • Assist with payroll processing for property employees
  • Vendor Management
  • Oversee any construction projects on the property
  • Responsible for gatherings at the home, and is expected to work closely with employers to orchestrate social events or guest needs
This is a full-time position:
  • Monday – Friday
  • $100K per year

  • owners, Estate Manager, accountant, staff, and vendors
  • Must have computer, technology, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and works to keep competent in these areas
  • Maintain a professional, polished appearance and demonstrate reputable conduct at all times
  • Possess familiarity with all the home systems especially, but not limited to, the operation of the phones, security, lighting, generators, solar panels, HVAC, appliances, and audio-visual systems with ability to learn and maintain thorough knowledge of home and home systems
  • Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance activities, personal possession care, furnishings and equipment care, safety, vendors
  • Must have at least three years of experience working in an estate or private residence
  • Must have excellent and verifiable past work references
