Estate Manager (Santa Ynez, CA)

We have an amazing long-term client that is looking for an Estate Manager to be their main point-of-contact and oversee daily operations for all property-related activities at their primary residence in Santa Ynez as well as their three other properties in California.  This position reports directly to the Principal who has protocols and procedures in place that works for the property, the Owners are hands-on.  The EM will maintain the highest-level of operations efficiency and will ensure all properties function at their optimal level.  The clients are looking for someone that is proactive and professional and is willing to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.  Ultra-private family that wants their EM to maintain their privacy and work under the upmost discretion at all times.  This is a family home with kids and pets and other staff members.  Our agency has had successful long-term placements with these clients.
 
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
  • Oversee properties and household staff
  • Manage and oversee all outside vendors
  • Maintenance and upkeep of all structures including domestic and agricultural buildings
  • Continually oversee and manage the maintenance of residential/agricultural soft and hardscape
  • Ensure utilities including telecom, A/V and internet, wells, electricity, plumbing, etc. function properly
  • Manage business expenses and petty cash, report to Business Manager
  • Regularly communicate with Vineyard Manager and crew
  • Work with EA/FM to assist with family events and schedules
  • Assist the EA/FM and Principals with day-to-day errands as requested
  • This is a full-time position

Requirements:
  • Must have at least 3 years’ experience working in a private residence
  • Previous experience working with high-profile families
