Director of Global Properties & Workplace (Los Angeles, CA)

Seeking a dynamic, proactive, creative, and experienced candidate who will develop and deliver a comprehensive program for a prominent individual (and associates) with numerous residences, various commercial properties, extensive personal assets, and numerous business/philanthropic interests and activities. This role encompasses both residential and commercial real estate globally.  The successful candidate will have impeccable judgement and intuition, thrive in a high-change environment, and be a creative and logical problem solver.
Duties to include, but not limited to:
  • Partner with the investment team on purchase, sale, rental, or development of properties
  • Liaise with the owner for conceptual design and use of new space
  • Liaise with development partner / contractors to implement design within approved budget
  • Authorize maintenance, repair, equipment, and supply expenditure
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and contractors
  • Resolve complaints from residents and tenants
  • Prepare financial statements and records
  • Oversee three primary properties in California (Los Angeles and San Francisco)
  • Assist as needed with corporate offices located in California, New York, and London
  • Partner with the Director of Security to design and implement location-specific and risk-based safety and security programs
  • Monitor real estate income and expenditure, as well as collecting payments
  • Determine rental income and negotiating lease agreements
  • Work in conjunction with the Director of Properties who oversees all House Managers

Requirements:
Candidate should have a minimum of:
  • Ten years’ experience in project management, real estate, or a similar role, including:
  • Extensive experience in managing property purchases, sales, rentals, and development.
  • Experience in managing payments, negotiating contracts, and determining rental rates.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable property law, taxes, and financial statements.
  • Knowledge of property maintenance and procurement of vendors and suppliers.
  • Has managed a team of 20+
  • Has management experience of multiple properties
  • Excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capable of effectively connecting with people at all levels of an organization, from entry level to C-Suite, through email, text, and in person 
  • Bilingual in English / Spanish required
  • Advanced ability to keep property owners updated.
  • Fluency with MacOS, modern business applications, and G Suite business apps (docs, sheets, Gmail).
  • Proficiency in real estate management software
